Classically Connected, Inc. Announces Appointment of

Paolo Bodini as Chair of Board of Trustees

April 15, 2024

NEW YORK–Classically Connected, Inc. (CCI) appointed Paolo Bodini, MD as chair of the board, effective April 1, 2024. A CCI trustee since 2016, Bodini is founder and president of Friends of Stradivari and was previously executive officer of Museo del Violino in Cremona, Italy, where he has played a pivotal role in promoting the city as the international center of violin making.

“It was an honor to serve as board chair during this exciting period of transformation,” said Karen Neus, trustee and previous chair. “I am equally honored to have passed this position to Dr. Bodini, whose vision and experience will steer us into the next chapter.”

“Over the years, I’ve enjoyed seeing this organization evolve and I’m pleased to take this more involved role,” said Bodini. “I look forward to the new initiatives that the leadership and staff will develop while continuing to serve the community through the affinity program and FindMyInstrument registry.”

Prior to founding Friends of Stradivari in 2008 and joining Museo del Violino in 2013, Bodini was president of the Stradivari Foundation, Cremona’s city board for violin making, from 2006–13. He was also a trustee of the Violin Museum Foundation from 2013–23. In 2024 he will serve as president of the jury of the 17th International Triennale Violin Making Competition, a position he held for the 2021 competition.

Before entering the arts community, Bodini was a practicing gastroenterologist and chief of the Department of Internal Medicine at the General Hospital of Cremona. He was also elected to two terms as mayor of Cremona from 1995–2004 and one term in the Italian Senate from 2006–08.
